One of the key ingredients of wild, or woodland camping is to have a campfire!  We totally understand that, but it’s not possible to allow fires on the ground. Many fires over each year would damage our special woodland environment!

The Camp Wight solution is our well-proven upcycled firepits.  These are a washing machine drum with a steel car wheel welded to it. 

The steel wheel on the bottom of the firepit makes them super-stable and safe. It keeps the fire off the ground, limiting the damage to our pitches.

Firepits can be rented per night when you’re staying with us. We can bring a basket of wood to you each day you rent a firepit, to keep the camp fires burning. We supply wood with firelighters and kindling. All you need to light your fire is matches, or a lighter.
