Our adaptable geodesic dome (often referred to as a camping pod) is set on our beautiful woodland site on the Isle of Wight. There are open views south towards the Downs. The dome is right next to ancient woodland. This gives a strong sense of seclusion and connection to nature, while also benefiting from its own private space behind the accommodation for guests to enjoy quietly. It’s an excellent choice for those looking for comfortable yet low-impact Isle of Wight glamping experiences.

The dome’s shell and floor are extremely well insulated. The insulation keeps the interior cool during warm summer days and cosy at night when temperatures drop. Inside, the space is thoughtfully laid out and divided by a curtain into two separate rooms. This offers flexibility and privacy. One space contains bunk beds, while the second space features a double futon and a single futon. This makes the dome suitable for couples, families, or small groups. A table with a bench and chairs provides a practical indoor area for meals, planning the day ahead, or relaxing in the evening.

Lighting throughout the dome is solar powered and supported by a long-lasting battery, ensuring reliable illumination throughout the night. This system also supplies six USB charging points, including three USB-C sockets. This ensures guests can charge essential devices while still enjoying a truly off-grid dome camping stay.

Our spaces always offer plenty of space for your group

Outside, there is ample space to cook and relax on the decking area, with a firepit for atmospheric evenings outdoors. For guests who may be travelling light or prefer not to bring their own equipment, you can rent a twin-burner cooker during your stay, making self-catering easy and convenient. Behind the dome there’s an additional private, quiet spot to unwind, read, or simply enjoy the surrounding ancient woodland. A short walk away, guests will find a mains-water supplied sink. Our dry composting toilets and solar-warmed showers are close, too. These facilities combine sustainability with practical comfort.

The camping pod benefits from level access onto the decking and features a secure canvas zip-up door. During the summer months, you can park directly outside the dome. In winter, parking is in the on-site car park, with a short walk to the accommodation. Sturdy footwear or wellies are recommended in wetter conditions. Please note that the site is intentionally unlit to preserve our exceptional dark skies. We advise bringing head torches to help you find your way around after dark.
