Stayed the first weekend in February, during one of the wettest weeks of the year so far, but that wasnt going to dampen our spirits. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Tom, who showed us around the wonderful but very wet site. After a chat with Tom and considering our options we decided to upgrade to one of the Pods for the weekend.
The site itself is absolutely brilliant with little individual clearings amongst the trees giving you a sense of wild camping but with all the security of a campsite. Ideal for solo, group and family camping.
There are some great views of the downs on clear days, and plenty to do on the island close by.
The pod that we used was unfurnished but that was perfect for us as we were going we are wild campers and had everything that we needed, with the added extra of a log burner which was great.
I would highly recommend Camp Wight and will definitely visit again in future.

We loved our stay. Even though it is mid winter and glamping this time of year might be frowned upon, we've had a cosy spacious night with a great view and beautiful stars. Will recommend it any time!

Beautiful site, nice private nooks for all campers, wonderful owner with so much knowledge of the local wildlife and overall a brilliant camping experience! Facilities were extremely clean and loved all the eco-friendly infrastructure too. Would love to visit again soon!

I love that secluded pitches in the forest. You’ll never see your neighbours!

As I write I'm cocooned in a hammock listening to sounds of the forest after one of the best sleeps of my life. I had expected to be 'roughing it', but with fire pit, compost toilets, solar powered showers, a welcoming host, and nature's surround sound, I feel truly blessed to have experienced this and don't want to leave. What a wonderful gem of a stay if you're seeking time off grid.

I’m somewhat reluctant to write this review. My reason for this is because it is an absolute gem and I want to keep it all to myself !I really can’t rate Camp Wight highly enough. I stayed last Friday (one of the hottest days of the year so far on the Island) and I was tucked away under 2 huge oak trees. I could have been a million miles from the next human beings. Utter perfection. After barbecuing, I sat in my recliner and just relaxed. As dusk fell, the sky was a mass of stars without any light pollution. I eventually turned in about midnight and had one of the best nights sleep ever. If you want peace and quiet look no further. If you read this review and fancy giving it a go, please savour every minute. Don’t ruin it. Don’t play music, don’t make a noise, just let nature be your entertainment. Who needs abroad ??!

Stayed for 2 nights (off grid) camping with my family. The owner was very accommodating, letting us choose our own pitch. We ended up nestled between trees and bushes, with a fire pit, very secluded. Composting toilets and solar showers available. Great location. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Camp Wight twice this year - at Easter and again in the Summer. The most wonderful domes (bigger than expected, lovely wood burning fire!) and then the rent-a-tent option too, which was so very convenient (we brought our own ‘living room tent’ for extra space for the kids if it rained. Wonderful location close to Yarmouth, a special little town. Convenient nature-friendly toilets and outdoor sinks/ taps near the dome/ tents. Lots of privacy with bushes between pitches but also close enough to other families for our kids to make friends and play together. The owners are excellent with communication and so helpful, and were flexible with our travel plans which was hugely appreciated!

Amazing location and the dome we stayed in was clean and comfortable. I did struggle a little with the self composting toilets and the solar powered showers. They were VERY basic.

We absolutely love it here! Such a lovely, peaceful setting to enjoy the great outdoors. Beautiful natural surroundings, good facilities, great fire pits and always top customer service and comms from the Cowleys 🌟 A treasure trove of glow worms, birds and trees. Lots of different pitches to choose from, depending on if you want an inclosed wooded area or open space. We have visited frequently in our campervan , and both with and without and awning. Very quiet, relaxed and family-friendly, and very reasonably priced.

I almost don't want to leave this glowing review in case everyone decends on it....this place is so quiet and peaceful nestled in a large woodland site. Camping nooks hidden everywhere in amongst the trees with fire pits you can barely notice any neighbours. It's a doggy heaven for walks in the woods and nearby fields. 10 min walk from a good local pub. Toilets are composting but don't let that deter you they are clean and effective with no nasty niffs. Solar shower block and amazing geodome accommodation. We stayed in our motorhome but the pods looked incredible fully furnished and with solar power and woodburners.

We had an amazing stay at Camp Wight in our tent for 3 nights in May. We had a very spacious pitch with a lovely view which made it feel nicely private with very convenient and clean facilities e.g. great showers and solar powered charging ports. Fire pit one night was a great addition. The host was so helpful and generous, even helped us restart our car when the battery died. Definitely would recommend a stay here for a 10/10 camping experience. You can do a beautiful walk to the needles from the campsite itself which is a must do activity.

We have stayed at Camp Wight over the May Bank Holiday weekend and chose the option of unfurnished Dome. Dome was loveky and clean and installed wood burner kept us nice and cosy during night.
Weather was very wet in April and beginning of May so ground was very wet and we couldn't drive up to our accommodation, but transport of us and our belongings has been arranged by Tom who runs the campsite. Tom has also helped us with booking of last minute ferry for which we were very grateful.
My kids absolutely loved it and we will stay again.

A wonderful semi-wild campsite conveniently close to Yarmouth. I loved my little niche. The solar-heated shower was great, the eco-loos clean and all in all I thoroughly enjoyed my one-night's stay.

Lovely natural camping experience set in a beautiful woodland area. Facilities were all clean and environmentally friendly ( compost toilet, washing up sink and solar showers ). The night time skies were great as there is very little light pollution.
Tom, the owner, was also great. Perfect amount of interaction. He was around everyday dropping off briquettes for the fire, collecting our rubbish or general maintenance. Cannot recommend enough, 100% would stay again!
